Connect seller payments
Understand Stripe Connect, payment readiness and the difference from your FiveGen subscription.
5 minute guideOn this page
Connect your seller account
FiveGen uses Stripe Connect to support many creators selling their own products. Seller onboarding links the appropriate Stripe account and collects the information Stripe requires for that account.
Open Seller payments from your account area. Complete the provider’s onboarding, then return to FiveGen and refresh readiness. Follow the status shown for charges and payouts rather than assuming that starting onboarding completed it.
Keep three payment jobs separate
Seller payments supports sales to your customers. Plan billing manages your own FiveGen subscription. Your purchases manages products you bought from creators. Using the same card or email does not make these the same billing relationship.
Provider processing fees and the platform’s plan-based seller fee can affect proceeds. Review the current pricing and earnings summary; use the account’s actual entitlement rather than a manually selected plan name.
Read readiness before launch
A product may still be unable to sell if the platform payment configuration, account capabilities or reviewed offer is incomplete. The recovery route depends on whether the blocker belongs to FiveGen, your seller account or the product.
Test mode and live mode are separate. Test webhooks and test balances do not prove live payments are configured. Never paste secret API or webhook signing keys into a public page, client-side field or support screenshot.
If a buyer cannot pay
Check the offer’s availability, currency and payment readiness first. Capture the visible error, approximate time, product and whether it was test or live. Avoid sharing card numbers or secrets.
A provider-accepted payment needs the corresponding order and access event to reach FiveGen. Do not repeatedly charge the customer to diagnose a delivery issue.
